The project involves the adaptive reuse of an existing typical road-side 1960’s Motel. The design intent of the proposal is to provide a luxurious guest experience including new Reception lounge, Restaurant, Bar, Outdoor Bar Seating areas all through linked around an upgraded central Pool, Gym and Sauna.
The existing Motel rooms will be upgraded with a more refined palette of finishes, and an additional 14 more luxurious rooms will be provided on the first floor. Extensive Landscaping, screening and updated parking layouts will cocoon the Hotel from the bustle and noise of the Highway, but soften the hard landscaping, provide shelter and clear vehicular and pedestrian main entry points to provide a safer and more enjoyable outdoor environment in all of Mudgee’s seasons.
Wellness Studio
Our design for the wellness studio creates a serene retreat within the hotel, incorporating advanced infrared sauna and float therapy treatments. This thoughtfully crafted space blends modern wellness amenities with calming architectural elements to enhance guests' overall well-being.
Creating Space for New Rooms
The design included a second storey with new structure spanning over the existing single-storey building. This design seamlessly adds 14 new hotel rooms while preserving the building’s original character. This thoughtful expansion maximizes space and enhances guest capacity, blending new construction with the established architectural style.
